Thanks for the post Mark. we will surely refer Ecoweb whenever there are call for services and assistance related to DRR. Im not adept to the DRR framework, but I think DRR and Poverty Alleviation is not an "either or" action that has to be chosen...

most of the time i am invited to give a talk on Climate Change and Governance. Karamihan ng mga speakers kasi discuss the science of Climate Change.
Likewise my experience during Presidential Task Force on Climate Change seems to focus more on International Conference and not so much on Local Adaptation kaya some of us redirect the attention to local response to ensure that we are doing something about our vulnaribility and the impact of Climate Change.
Ang ilang development kasi ay national office seems to put so much empahsis on the global aspect like US and China not signing the protocal and very little attention on what the local has to do about the issue.
Lastly loans are being source more to fund the mitigation projects but if you notice the project always goes with a certain technology that the funding agency push for implementation.
Kaya ilan kaming nag tulak ng local implementation and local adapation. Kaya yung local initiative like what you are now undertaking will surely fit into what we hope to do nationwide. more discussion by local stakeholders will mean localizing the issue and hopefully the focus of the discussion will also mean local response to the global issue of climate change.

Is Carbon Trading Necessary?
